McKinsey is constantly evolving and transforming to better meet the needs of our clients. As our client service model and resulting career paths evolve, we have found that many of our newer roles are interesting to our alumni. Alums who have developed specialized skill sets on top of their firm experience can be a great fit for some of our newer capability areas, and McKinsey experience is also very valuable in internal roles, such as practice management or recruiting.
If you are interested in re-joining the firm, many opportunities are posted on the alumni job board, but opportunities can also be found on the Careers section of McKinsey.com. If you see a specific role that interests you, please apply on the Careers site – all resumes are triaged, with alumni getting a particularly close look. Needs will vary across locations and sectors, but we hope to continue the conversation with you if there is not a need for which your experience is a current fit.
If you are interested in re-joining but aren't sure what role might be a good match, we would be happy to have an initial discussion and offer guidance as to what types of roles might be a fit. Just reach out to us at Alumni_Career_Opportunities@mckinsey.com.
We are excited that we are already welcoming an increasing number of alumni back to the firm! Alumni also remain a great source of talent referrals, so if there is someone in your network that you think would be a good fit with McKinsey, please feel free to email us at Alumni_Referrals@mckinsey.com, letting us know why you think this person would be a good candidate and including their CV and contact information (as well as whether they are aware you have submitted them). We will follow up with your referral and inform you of the status.
