Fan is a leader in the McKinsey Digital, Telecommunications, and High Tech Practices. Based in Calgary, he serves a range of telecommunications and high-tech clients on operational, strategic, and technology topics, including large-scale corporate transformations, network and technology strategy, due diligences on potential mergers, growth strategy, and procurement.

Fan’s project experience includes leading a restructuring and cost-transformation program for one of the largest telecommunications operators globally, conducting deep dives into the end-to-end network cost structure, as well as creating B2B and pricing strategies. He conducted an end-to-end opportunity assessment and contract negotiations for a billion dollar network sharing deal across both fixed and mobile, which included setting up a fiber-optic company and an operating company. Fan also led the renegotiation of an end-to-end network outsourcing deal for a European operator, identifying opportunities, creating a vendor strategy, and developing and negotiating the contract.
